Shiraz Traditional Hotel, now an Iranian cultural heritage site, was once a historic mansion in a state of ruin. In 2018, Jalal Rashedi, the current owner and renovator, took on the ambitious task of restoring this 250-year-old gem. Located in the narrow alleys of historic Shiraz, the mansion required extensive renovation over a four-year period.
Jalal Rashedi personally oversaw the entire renovation process, bringing his vision to life. With great attention to detail, the mansion was transformed into the enchanting place you see today. The fusion of traditional Persian architecture and lush greenery creates a truly captivating atmosphere. The courtyard, adorned with four ancient marmalade orange trees, fills the air with their fragrant blossoms, making your stay an unforgettable experience.
Besides the vibrant orange trees, bougainvillea plants add bursts of color throughout the mansion, enhancing its visual appeal. However, despite the beauty of Shiraz's history and cultural heritage, it is disheartening to witness the Iranian government's disregard for the preservation of the historic town. The news of their plan to demolish ancient parts of the town and annex them to the shrines is truly abominable.
